Verification, built for our region
Authevo is a WhatsApp OTP + TOTP verification API made in Egypt for developers across Egypt and the wider MENA region. We started it because proving a phone number shouldn't mean wiring up an SMS gateway, paying for every message whether it lands or not, or fighting a dashboard that was never designed with Arabic in mind.
What we're building
One honest way to verify users over the channels people here actually use, or with a TOTP authenticator app when no message needs to be sent at all. Two REST calls send a code over WhatsApp and check it back — with automatic Telegram fallback, transparent pay-per-success pricing, and local payment in EGP over InstaPay. No SDK required, no subscription, and no charge for a message that never converts.

Where we are
Authevo is in public beta. It is currently run as an independent venture based in Egypt; a registered operating entity will be named here as the company is formalized. You can follow live service health on the status page.
